Free Comic Book Day!
Everyone knows that May 1st is May Day. But not everyone knows that May 2nd is Free Comic Book Day! I even heard that a few misguided individuals were calling it National Scrapbooking Day--horror of horrors! LOL!
For as long as I can remember, comic book artists, publishers and retailers have made sure that comic book stores everywhere had good supplies and good selections of specially published comic books to be given away to anyone and everyone on the 2nd of May. Our family trekked on over to Atomic Comics in Phoenix and selected our 8 -- 2 per person.
So to honor this day, I made sure to use a bit of deleter screen in my journal page. It's hard to see in the photo, but if you look closely at the skirt, you'll notice the manga bubble tone. It might be better if you click to enlarge.
This page began with the Nikes and evolved. The rest you can figure out just by looking at it, I think.
I've gotten a couple of comments and lots of emails about yesterday's post, most of them expressing good wishes and, "Glad you're back". Thank you all!! It makes me feel so wonderful to know that my posts were missed! I know I've missed my visits your blogs, and am glad that slowly-but-surely, I'm making my way around the web again! It was a wonderful break, but I'm glad to be back!!
Now I'm getting ready to:
Put the finishing touches on some crafting obligations
See if I can find a French version of Marie Claire's Mar. 2009 issue
Come back and paint
Then stitch
Then read
Tomorrow will be as busy as usual, so enjoy your Sundays, Everyone!
I had no idea.
Terrific art work!

I think that's endemic to the US Barbara - you always celebrate the coolest stuff!
On a different tack... sounds like someone let you down badly. Hope you're okay. xoxoxo
