. . .This page is that unmentionable number...the one between twelve and fourteen...
This one's for Make It Monday's "spring" theme.
Every spring in elementary school, our classrooms would head downstairs to the nurses office. She would have the eye chart up and ready, and each of us in turn would have to point our arms in the direction of the "E". I'll never forget fifth grade. I cheated on the eye test! My best friend wore glasses which I thought would be really cool to do, so I faked getting my "E"s wrong. The nurse recommended me to an ophthalmologist. I was terrified once I was in his office, so I played it straight and did not cheat! It turned out that my eyes were not so perfect after all, and I left with a prescription for my first pair of glasses.
As an artist, there is nothing more valuable to me than my eyes. I think that eyeglasses, and prosthetic devices in general, are the most beneficial inventions of all.
It has been a productive day. So far, I have:
Finished a couple of journal pages
Ordered take-out
Planned my next three pages
Made it through a mile of emails and even answered a couple of them
Decided to go to bed early tonight!
Have a great day, Everyone!
That'#s such a beautiful, vivid page Barbara... it makes me feel like Spring is truly on its way! Lovely work! xoxoxo
