I couldn't resist a second go at the "Opposites Attract" theme for This Thursday's challenge. About half way through the first piece I made, I had the idea to split my sun tea-mailer design into half red, half black, and this is what I came up with. This one is a bit more readily obvious to the theme of "opposites".
I stamped the sunface from A Stamp In The Hand twice onto white cardstock twice with Tim Holtz clear Distress Embossing Ink, and embossed one sunface with Ranger's rich red embossing powder, and the other with fine line black embossing powder by Stampendous. I cut each of them right down the middle and glued them black on red and red on black, then glued these onto a square of white which I attached to the front of the card with double-stick tape.
I used double-stick tape again to adhere a length of red ribbon to the black cardstock substrate, then glued the left panel which was stamped in black VersaFine with Urban Lily's text frame. The sunface on the right is stamped in black VersaFine onto a pocket that will hold one individually wrapped tea bag. It is open-ended on both sides so that the tea bag slips in easily and is held fast when the card is tied closed with the ribbon.
Have a great weekend!
It's spooky how similarly we think isn't it? I wonder about this almost psychic connection I have with you Barbara! Do we look alike too? LOL!
I love the red/black and white and that stamp is gorgeous!
Your package is on its way!!!
