The theme this week for Dans Ma Maison... is "un conte de fees", or, "In My House there is... a Fairy Tale".
I put Rapunzel in her tower by drawing her onto cardstock, washing her and the castle with watercolors, defining her features with Micron and Sakura Identi-pens, giving the tower a layer of colored tissue paper with matte medium, muting it with titanium buff, cutting-out (from a Nordstroms advert) the rocks and gluing them down with more medium, creating a mask with tracing paper and overstamping with Hero Arts "manuscript background" and black Versafine, gluing a flower and bead to her hair with diamond glaze, then outlining it all with a brown Identi-pen. The hardest part was letting the layers dry. I am impatient!
Have a great day, Everyone!

This is just brilliant Barbara! I Love it! Rapunzel is the fairy tale that came to mind for me as well (I had knee length hair for more than 30 years, just got it cut a few years ago).....my idea is still in head however, it never made into ma maison :)
