"Triangles" is today's Arty Girlz theme, and this gave me the excuse to do something I have been wanting to do for a long time now: make a banner.
The substrate for my banner is a hand-made paper. It is made up of multiple alternating layers of very thin acrylic paint and gloss gel medium, applied with a dry brush in very steady horizontal strokes. The end result is a paper with a plastic coating that can be wiped clean, much like a textured oil cloth. The image is from a photo I picked up at an antique store. The banner is further embellished with more hand painted paper, some vintage flowers and tinsel, ribbon, rub-ons, German scrap, and a glittery chipboard letter from Making Memories.
Hope you're all having a great week!
This is gorgeous, I love the colours and the tinsel at the top is fab

The best thing about a challenge is taking yourself to a different direction or trying something you've wanted to do. I am loving your banner -- the technique sounds "doable" and the fact that it's coated for cleaning would make it a perfect way to do this for a child's room.
