This week's challenge from Arty Girlz is "pockets", and I couldn't be happier! I have been wanting to create something that I could slip into my purse that would hold smaller pieces of ephemera and art paper scraps for art journaling or making ATCs on the road. I find myself in-between meetings, picking up kids, appointments, etc. with too much time to sit idle, but not enough time to go home. What I wanted was a tiny portable scrap file that could sit with me at a Starbucks, a library, or where ever I might be able to sit and create something smaller scale with my "down" time.
I came up with this 4 X 4 booklet that ties at the top. It's made out of sturdy coated Bazzill Bling and embellished with artists cardstock, stamps and a button.
The inside opens out to reveal 2 pockets, seen here on their sides.
Standing the pocket book upright, you can see the two inside pockets stuffed. It ties closed and easily slips in a purse.
Next on the agenda will be to create another little on-the-go item that will hold a tiny pair of scissors, a glue stick, and maybe a mini-stapler, mini-mister, and some colored pencils. But that's for another day!
Stunning! Stunning! Stunning!
I love EVERYTHING especially the colours - this is so gorgeous
Thanks for sharing and for joining in with Arty Girlz once again :) xx

This is really beautiful. The colors are amazing. I'm trying to get into mixed media art (I'm a sketcher mostly) but I hardly know where to start.
