This isn't the first time I've said this, but I can't get over how much I love working in Belinda Schneider's arch format! Bigger than an ATC, not shaped like a card, I'm not sure of the reason, but this shape and I are really having an affair!
This week's theme for Gothic Arch Sunday is "Guardian Angel". My angel is an image from an Orthodox Angel icon. The wings are from another icon. I printed the first onto a transparency sheet and printed the wings onto vellum. I cut out the wings and adhered them to the background with "Diamond Glaze". Next, I added the flower rub-on by "Anna Griffin", then I laid the transparency over the background and sealed the edges with more Diamond Glaze. I used a "K&Company" rub-on on top of the transparency, then I inked-up the edges all-around with an embossing pen by "Rubber Stampede" and embossed it in gold powder by "Stampendous". The photo flattens it a bit, but in reality it is quite dimensional.
I see lots of interesting layers even on the scan, very pretty arch! I'm smitten with the gothic arch form myself as well!

Truly a wonderful work of art, Barbara!
I love working in this format, too, I feel that I can be more creative using unusual papers than the standard specialised papers, embellishments etc.

I really like this arch - in spite of the scan, I can almost feel the textures - and the embossing works well too. I had no idea arches would become so addictive, did you? :D
BTW - The T.I.F. sketches are fab - I must remember to check back and see what you've done!
