She's called Button Doll #1 because like Belinda Schneider's other ideas: Icicle Dolls and Gothic Arches, making these little things is instantly addictive! This is my first attempt, made for Wednesday Stamper, and I'm already hooked!
I used the top part of Raggedy Angel from PSX, stamped her onto watercolor paper, colored her with watercolor pencils and gave her a couple of coats of gloss gel medium. When she was dry, I flipped her over and painted her back in turquoise acrylic. I stitched on a beaded necklace and black beads for eyes, added some gold shimmer to her star and her wings and strung the buttons onto wire, finishing them off with seed beads. Her back button was glued to hand-made paper with Gem-Tac, and this was glued to an ATC size cutting of artist paper from the Jan/Feb issue of Somerset Studio. Paper lace from Creative Imaginations on the top and bottom finishes the ATC.
Too much fun!!
Funny doll!
