Work, Work, Work....PLAY!!

A great weekend with playing with Kelly again at Frenzy!  Before this post degenerates (and it will, I promise!), I need to tell you right away that any, ANY opportunity you have to take Kelly's 2-day workshop, DO it!  It rocked my socks off!  Some of my pages are in the slide below.  At this stage, they're just backgrounds which eventually will become journal pages.  Lots will be added to them.  LOTS.  But here they are in the raw:

...I had planned to use an image of a foot in a flip-flop on top of a partially taped background.  It's hard for me to get tape to lie straight when laid side to side, so I threw out a question to the room, "Does anyone have a trick up their sleeve for seamlessly butting tape?"  

Someone at the other end of the room who only partially heard, asked, "Butt tape?  What's butt tape?"  

The answers began with, "I think it's used to patch cracks..." and it was all down-hill from there.

Now when it comes to language, I consider myself a connoisseur of expletives.  "Butt" isn't in my repertoire.  But However, this eventually had half the room r.o.f.l.t.B.o., so when Sharon held out the image of the sunbather and said, "I think you need to add this to the picture...", I realized that my page had become somewhat of a group effort and needed commemorating.   

You probably would have had to have been there.  But since I was, that page is among the ones in the slide.  And that's pretty much how the weekend went.  It was great.  A real kick in the butt!

How fun. I'm just going to have to take your advice when things slow down a bit. lol Anybody who has little ones is probably familiar with
Butt Paste. A diaper rash cream. You could add that to your tape for extra hold.

thanks for showing your pages, Barbara, since I didn't get a chance to see them during class either! I was too busy laughing over the whole "butt tape" thing, I guess!! lol! and everything else we were laughing about all weekend-- these classes are always such fun!
